Believe it or not, this gorgeous house in Northcote, Melbourne was a 1900s weatherboard cottage that was crumbling at the seams. There wasn’t much left of the cottage when Kate Symons and her husband Kris got their hands on it.
Kate and Chris had just finished a different renovation project when their real estate agent contacted them out of the blue with the Northcote cottage. And so, begun the adventure.

Kate and Kris reinvigorated the Northcote cottage using Haymes Paint products; including the colour Haymes ‘Copen Blue’ for the front door and Haymes ‘Charcoal Grey’ for the weatherboards.

The home was uninhabited for over 50 years and needed a lot of work to bring it to all its glory. Whilst breathing new life into the property, the duo still paid homage to its 1900s roots. The external trims and lacework give the cottage the character it would have had many years ago.

The stairway of our dreams! The contrast between the timber and the white has us swooning over this space.
