The Barefoot Bay Villa is the first holiday house to be designed and built for boutique accommodation business, Barefoot Escapes. The Designory’s director Melissa Bonney wanted to work with her favourite brands, including us, to create the ultimate luxury Australian home.

The villa is quintessentially Byron and emphasises Australian coastal materials, with strong contemporary finishes, luxe design elements and natural materials. This is where the Haymes Paint textured finishes and contemporary colours come into play.
The Designory “wanted to create a truly special holiday home, one that was full of all the design elements we love, all the luxuries of a high-end hotel and all of the soul of a home”. We think they have done exactly that.

The inspiration for the Bay Villa was pulled from the coastlines that surround Byron Bay. The raw textures and tones of the green bush, the different sand characteristics, sea foam, rust and warm greys.
Our Haymes Paint Artisan Collection textured products paired with a coastal palette speak straight to the Byron Bay coastline. Especially the sandy rough surface of Rendercoat from our Artisan Collection and the green bush tones of the kitchen cabinets in Wilderness.

There are a number of living rooms designed for reconnecting and coming together. There is plenty of room for entertaining with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area that all opens up to a gorgeous alfresco space.

The beautiful minty tones of the laundry cabinet is Haymes Paint Foam Forest and Modesty White is featured on the walls.
The three-bedroom suites are all decorated in their own different styles and flair, which are perfect for rest and rejuvenation.
For the first bedroom suite a soft pastel pink palette features throughout. Haymes Paint Ultra Premium Expressions Interior was used on the walls in the colour Modesty White and Ultra Premium Expressions Ceiling in White was used to coat the ceiling.

The second bedroom suite is also coated in Modesty White with highlights of green and grey tones. This room reflects the traditional Byron Bay coastline perfectly.
The third bedroom suite offers a different colour palette with the use of much darker hues. Ultra Premium Expressions Interior was used on the feature wall in Monument.

Upstairs features a kid’s room fit for the most playful of children. The entertaining netting space will wow even the biggest of kids.

Moving outside the villa has ample space for BBQs, cheese platters and drinks by the pool. Haymes Ultra Premium Solarshield Exterior in the colour Impact was used on the fence.
