Design perfection meets quintessential Australian coastal styling to create the ultimate Byron Bay escape in the latest project from building and interior design studio The Designory.
Designed in collaboration with boutique accommodation provider Barefoot Escapes, this completely renovated three-bedroom cottage celebrates classic Byron Bay style, achieving a true home away from home vibe.

The open plan kitchen-living space is the heart of the home, with industrial finishes perfectly balanced against coastal influences to create a feeling that is cosy but still chic. Graphite panelling on the kitchen splashback contrasts against the seaside tones of Haymes Gulf on the kitchen cabinetry, while layered textures in the lounge room bring a softness to the entire space.

Eclectic wall art adds personality to the living room, with the key feature a piece of woven wall art created by local Australian design duo Crossing Threads. Matt graphite panels line the hearth of the fireplace to create a connection back to the kitchen, while Haymes Modesty White creates the perfect balance against the layered textures and surfaces.

Every detail has been considered in the bedrooms, with calming blues, soft linens, and warm textures creating environments where you can truly relax and unwind. Haymes Stormy Blue creates a tranquil and sophisticated feel, while Haymes Gulf connects to the cottageās coastal-inspired nature.
